There’s very little to release at the moment. It generally just works out of the box once you have all the Ruby runtime/OpenSSL etc installed.
The main problem is facter assumes that all versions of OS X have ’system_profiler’ available, which the phone doesn’t. I’m trying a few options here, but I’m not sure it’s worth patching facter upstream just to account for crazy hacks on the iPhone :)

This way lies madness.

You realize I’m going to cite you in defense the next time someone accuses me of a crazy hack?
So, uh, are you planning to actually release this?

That is fantastic. What a wonderful world.
Question, how does one get a shell in ones iphone like that? Have you hacked it? Or is it something that comes with the iphone SDK? Or am I just dumb?
Thanks

yep, that’s jail-broken, which is such an incredibly easy process now with apps like Pwnage to do it all for you.
No official terminal/ruby/puppet installations on the iPhone yet. :)

Just for the record, I’d totally accept that patch to Facter. :)
